Dear Bridgeview Montessori School Community,
YAHOO! We did it! Can you believe it?
There were a few tense days, but we hung in there, together and persisted. Even though it was a year of many challenges, it was also lovely. We all showed up. We stayed safe. We supported one another. Most importantly we were brave, and we appreciated one another. It is time to acknowledge our accomplishment and take a well-deserved break.
Then it will be time to think about next year with more students and more activities. We are planning for the return of Yoga and Spanish. We look forward to starting every day with a hand shake and morning recess. We hope our students from all programs will enjoy one another’s company again. Finally, we are looking forward to inviting families back for all school community events and volunteer opportunities.
Safety guidelines will be changing over the summer, and we should have a pretty good idea of what school will look like next year by the end of July. Suzanne, Rachael, Julie and I will be at school part-time over the summer. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact us.
Thank you, parents and guardians for trusting us to keep your children safe. Thank you, students who continued to learn and play. Thank you, educators for keeping us inspired, safe and growing. Thank you, Board of Trustees for your steadfast support of our goal to keep children in school.
Have a revitalizing and healthy summer.
Always,
Sandy Nickerson
Head of School
