Bridgeview Montessori's Commitment

Children who attend Bridgeview Montessori School are well on their way to becoming lifelong, independent learners. We also hope to make learning at our school a reality for as many children as possible, and recognize that attending a private school is a significant investment in a child’s future. Our financial aid program exists to help ensure that every family with demonstrated financial need receives some level of support to make attending our school a little easier.

How financial aid is AwardeD

Bridgeview Montessori School is a nonprofit school. We partner with School and Student Services (SSS) in our financial aid process. This company compiles financial information and then sends both the family and the school a report indicating what they determine a family can afford to pay in tuition. Every family for whom need is indicated receives some level of grant, although the school cannot always match the level of aid that SSS indicates is needed.

To begin the financial aid application, families complete the SSS’s Parents’ Financial Statement (PFS). The PFS is a comprehensive application that takes some time to complete and requires access to a most recent tax return. Our financial aid application due date is Thursday, March 19, (well before the April 15 income tax due date), so families have to plan accordingly and complete their taxes early. We recommend families review the wide range of materials that SSS has put together to help with the financial aid process.

After the PFS is submitted, SSS computes a Report of Family Contribution (RFC). This report along with the PFS are reviewed by the Financial Aid Committee (Director of Admissions, the Head of School, and the Business Manager) and serves as a guideline in making financial aid decisions. All reports and supporting documents are held in strictest confidence.

For new families being considered for a financial aid award, your child must be engaged in the application process, admitted to and/or enrolled in Bridgeview Montessori School, secured with your $500 enrollment deposit for the 2026-2027 school year.

Returning families being considered must be current with tuition/Before and After Care payments.

FOR FINANCIAL AID APPLICANTS ONLY: If the financial aid awarded still does not make it possible for your child to attend or if no financial aid is awarded, the $500 enrollment deposit can be refunded to you. However, you must request this refund in writing by the date indicated in your financial aid letter.

FAQs

What happens if the parents are divorced or separated?

Bridgeview Montessori School believes that parents have an obligation to pay for the education expenses of their children to the extent that they are able. The Financial Aid Committee will consider the assets of both natural or adopted parents as well as stepparents. Please discuss particular circumstances with the Director of Admissions if you have questions regarding this.

Is financial aid automatically renewed each year?

Families receiving financial aid need to reapply each year through SSS. Changes in income, family status, and the number of children attending tuition collecting institutions may result in increases or decreases in an award.

When will I be notified of my award?

Families receive notification of any award in mid April.

Who do I contact if I have any questions?

Please contact Suzanne Lawson, Director of Admissions.
508-888-3567 or slawson@bridgeviewmontessori.org. The School and Student Services (SSS) website is also very helpful.
